Op een van de mooiste plekjes in het centrum van Amsterdam ligt dit comfortabele en lichte grachtenappartement op de eerst etage van een gebouw van de Amsterdamse architect E.M. Rood (1851-1929). Koel in de schaduw van bomen met uitzicht op de rustige Raamgracht en de schilderachtige Groenburgwal en niet ver van het Waterlooplein en de gezellige Nieuwmarkt. De prachtige Zuidertoren (1614) is vlakbij.
De ruimte is door twee hoge suitedeuren verdeeld in een slaapkamer en een woonkamer. Vóór heb je uitzicht op de gracht, achter op een binnentuin. Achter is ook een efficiënte keuken met koelkast, vaatwasser en kookplaat. En een fijne badkamer met douchecabine en toilet.

Op de fiets en met het openbaarvervoer is het appartement perfect bereikbaar. Voor het huis is een gedeeld fietsenrek. Metrostation Nieuwmarkt (één halte van Amsterdam CS) is 100 meter lopen om de hoek. Noord-Zuidlijn en trams liggen op minder dan 5 minuten loopafstand. Voor auto’s is er parkeerruimte op straat en in de nabij gelegen parkeergarage onder de Stopera.
Restaurants, cafés, terrasjes, enzovoort zijn er in overvloed in de Nieuwmarktbuurt. Dam en Kalverstraat zijn vlakbij. Op de Raamgracht zelf is slechts één bescheiden restaurantje (Thais). Supermarkten in de buurt zijn een Jumbo-City, twee Albert Heijns en een Ekoplaza. Elke zaterdag is er een ecomarkt op de Nieuwmarkt. Kruidvat en een Gall&Gall zijn in de Jodenbreestraat.
Cultuur in de directe omgeving is het Rembrandthuis, De Nationale Opera & Ballet, de Kleine Komedie en de theaters aan de Nes. Botanische tuin de Hortus en Artis zijn niet ver van de Raamgracht.
Raamgracht 25 bestaat uit drie appartementen: 25A (souterrain + beletage), 25B (1ste etage) en 25C. Je komt binnen via een natuurstenen trap in een hoog portaal dat van de straat is afgesloten met een gietijzeren hek. Achter de buitendeur is de trap naar de 1ste etage, waar de voordeuren van 25B en 25C zijn.
De buren links zijn een jong gezin en rechts vier verhuurde luxe appartementen en een studentenhuis.

This comfortable and bright canal apartment is located on one of the most beautiful spots in the center of Amsterdam on the first floor of a building by the Amsterdam architect E.M. Rood (1851-1929). Cool in the shade of trees with a view of the quiet Raamgracht and the picturesque Groenburgwal and not far from Waterlooplein and the lively Nieuwmarkt. The beautiful Zuidertoren (1614) is nearby.
The space is divided into a bedroom and a living room by two high suite doors. You have a view of the canal at the front, and a courtyard garden at the back. Behind is also an efficient kitchen with fridge, dishwasher and hob. And a nice bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet.
In the room at the back there is four meters of cupboard space, closed off with ceiling-high mirrored doors. Behind one of those sliding doors is a washing machine.
It is up to you whether you sleep in front or behind or where you live and work. But the view is actually too beautiful for a bedroom.
The apartment is perfectly accessible by bike and public transport. There is a shared bicycle stand in front of the house. Nieuwmarkt metro station (one stop from Amsterdam CS) is a 100-meter walk around the corner. North-South line and trams are less than a 5-minute walk away. For cars there is parking space on the streets and in the nearby parking garage under the Stopera.
Restaurants, cafes, terraces, etc. are plentiful in the Nieuwmarkt area. Dam and Kalverstraat are nearby. Supermarkets in the area are a Jumbo-City, two Albert Heijns and an Ekoplaza.
Raamgracht 25 consists of three apartments: 25A (basement + bell floor), 25B (1st floor) and 25C. You enter via a natural stone staircase in a high portal that is closed off from the street with a cast iron gate. Behind the door is a staircase to the 1st floor, where the front doors of 25B and 25C are.
The neighbours on the left are a young family and on the right four rented luxury apartments and a student house.
