De woning is gebouwd anno 1608 en is grotendeels herbouwd in 1780.
De afgelopen jaren is de woning met liefde en vakmanschap in ere hersteld. Authentieke elementen zijn behouden en smaakvol gecombineerd met modern wooncomfort. Alles ademt kwaliteit en sfeer. Van de karakteristieke gevel tot de hoge plafonds, de oude balken en fraaie houten vloer.
Het absolute hoogtepunt? Het uitzicht. Aan de voorkant kijk je direct uit over de rivier het Spaarne met voorbijvarende bootjes. Aan de achterkant zie je via het keukenraam de sterrenwacht van het Teylers Museum. Hier woon je op een plek waar geschiedenis, schoonheid en stadsleven samenkomen.

de badkamer met marmeren waskom, douche en een vrijstaand bad. De badkamer is voorzien van vloerverwarming en een aansluiting voor wasmachine/droger.
Aan de achterzijde is een kleine patio.

This national monument is located between the Waag and the Teylers Museum and served as the messenger's residence for the Waag in the distant past.
The house was built in 1608 and largely rebuilt in 1780.
In recent years, the home has been restored to its former glory with love and craftsmanship. Authentic elements have been preserved and tastefully combined with modern living comfort. From the characteristic facade to the high ceilings with exposed old beams, and from the beautiful wooden floor to the luxury kitchen – everything exudes quality and atmosphere.
The absolute highlight? The view. At the front, you look directly out over the rippling water of the Spaarne, with passing boats, and at the back, you look out towards the Teylers Museum and the accompanying observatory. Here, you live in a place where history, beauty, and city life come together.
Behind the front door is a multifunctional space; in recent years, this has mostly been used as an art gallery, but it can be arranged and used in various ways. The ceiling is over 3 meters high. It features a sink and a built-in cupboard with connections for a washing machine/dryer.
